Swimming Pool Infrastructure

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

Our Success Story

Ceri Weeks

Launceston, Tasmania, Australia, Award-winning AUSTSWIM Presenter (Trainer for swim teachers)  who has been involved from Day 1 in India and personally trained more than 100 swim teachers and 2 Presenters in India:

It’s been 35 years that I am a successful business person having built & run a swim school, trained hundreds of swim teachers the AUSTSWIM way & now pass on these skills to enthusiastic swim teachers in India – what could be more rewarding than knowing you’ve helped saved thousands of lives through a career you love.

Prathima Hegde

Puttur, Dakshina Kannada – Kindergarten Teacher, Swim Parent & Swim Teacher.

Being a kindergarten school teacher I used to take my preschool kids to the pool quite often. I started taking my preschool kids to our pool on picnics. Seeing me handle kids very well, Partha Varanashi the first AUSTSWIM Presenter of India recognised my potential and recommended me to do the AUSTSWIM course.

I started applying the techniques learned during the AUSTSWIM course for my swimming camps and they turned out to be a huge success. I realised the world of difference it made for reluctant kids to get into water. Thanks to you Ceri Weeks for all your support and guidance. You have been a huge source of encouragement.

I’m very happy I did the AUSTSWIM course as it has been very satisfying and has helped me interact better with children. I recommend every woman to do this course as it not only helps to improve swim teaching skills but it boosts your confidence, improves your all round personality. And swim teaching is a big profession.

Nisha Millet

Bengaluru – Olympian swimmer at Sydney 2000, Director of Nisha Millet’s Swimming Academy (NMSA), First woman AUSTSWIM Presenter (Trainer of swim teachers) in India:

I had a very bad experience as a 9 year who was trying to learn swimming in Chennai back in 1991. I was pushed into the deep end of the pool. Thanks to my dad who patiently taught me water familiarization skills and got me to enjoy the water. After a 14 year competitive swim career there was no doubt in my mind that I was itching to get back into the pool and get other young kids to love the water the way I did, i.e. learning through fun and exploration rather than fear. So began my swim teaching journey and now have been teaching more than 13 years and loving every minute of it. Am I done learning? HELL NO! That’s why I decided to do my AUSTSWIM TSW course in 2015 and followed it up with the TCS and Infant course last year.

What an amazing journey with great mentors like my old swim teachers and coaches – Dad Aubrey Millet, Pradeep Kumar from BAC and Nihar Ameen from Dolphin Aquatics, Ceri Weeks who is not only a fabulous teacher but also made me want to start presenting the AUSTSWIM courses after I spent time with her both in Bangalore and Australia and saw the passion and energy she puts into every day and every lesson. Now to hopefully pass on my love for teaching and this wonderful sport to my girls Adele & Ariana.

Nirala Rai Bopanna

Bengaluru – an ex-IT engineer who worked with CISCO. Nirala teaches at Bangalore Club and Bangalore Golf Club

Mother of two – 6 and 3. When my 6 year old was forced to jump at the deep end of the pool by her then teacher, she refused to get back to water. Heartbroken I went to Partha Varanashi who suggested that I do the AUSTSWIM course and teach my daughter myself. So I did my TSW course and started teaching her. She loves the water now. When it was time to teach my 3 year old I did the AUSTSWIM Infant and Preschool Aquatics course under Ceri Week’s guidance. I started teaching my kids at Bangalore club. Club members loved the way I taught the “AUSTSWIM” way of teaching. They wanted me to teach their kids as well. This encouraged me to take up swim teaching. Now I teach at Bangalore Club and Bangalore Golf Club.

kavita-chittiappa

Kavita Chittiappa

Bengaluru – a former competitive swimmer and diver who worked in the corporate world before starting AQUA Liners to teach swimming and water safety.

I used to be a swimmer and diver way back in the 80’s and early 90’s. But when we used to swim there were hardly any facilities, no trained coaches where I grew up in a small town. I worked for 19 long years in the customs and logistics industry. In May 2014 I started my journey as a swim teacher and there’s been no looking back. AUSTSWIM TSW and TCS happened and the way I teach now has changed drastically. My focus is more on special kids and senior citizens. This year 5 of my special swimmers took part in the para-state competition and one has been selected for the nationals. I also run a Learn to Swim Scholarship for a few Govt School kids to encourage them to do well in their academics. These children now assist me as buddies to swim and assist my special swimmers. After this summer, if all goes well my focus would be only teaching children and adults with any and every kind of disability. I still have a long way to go as a Swim Teacher
